We were first introduced to Cody Daniels on PokerGO’s coverage of the World Series of Poker Main Event. Cody is terminally ill and had a dream of a lifetime, playing the World Series of Poker Main Event, come true. Have a look below:

Cody went on to cash in the Main Event and as you can see, he was very emotional about it. This experience and exposure would ultimately lead to Hustler Casino Live organizing the meet-up game in his honor. The meet-up game was a great success with charity raised and fun was had by all. DJ Washburn and Raver Poker were controlling the music throughout the gathering. The guests included many of the Hustler Casino Live stream’s players, dealers and staff. Special guests included Tom Dwan, Hustler Casino Live’s co-Founders Nick Vertucci and Ryan Feldman, and Nate Hill.

Cody Daniels Plays on Max Pain Monday

When Nick Vertucci, Co-Founder of Hustler Casino Live, met Cody Daniels in Las Vegas he invited Cody to play on Max Pain Monday. Max Pain Monday is played every Monday at Hustler Casino Live. There are a few special rules. They always play the 7-2 game, run it once only and slow-rolling is encouraged. The game often plays fast, with a lot of action, and this week did not disappoint.

Cody was given his buy-in of $7,500 by Nick Vertucci. He bought in for the whole amount when he sat down at the table. Cody pledged any profits he would make to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He explained that he received a wish from the foundation, namely meeting President Obama, and wanted to pay it forward to send a child to Disney World.

The line-up included Nate Hill, DGAF, Sia the bot, Cody, DJ Washburn, amongst others. Cody was not intimidated by the aggressive play of the other players. He showed himself quite capable of battling on the Max Pain Streets. Cody had a great night ending with an $11,000 profit, which he pledged to charity.

To top off the memorable weekend that Cody experienced, Hustler Casino Live had one more gift for Cody. Hustler Casino Live asked Cody if he would join DJ Washburn in the commentary booth on Tuesday July 25th. Cody joined on the stream and held his own as a commentator. He gave some analysis and interacted with the chat like a pro.
