Hayley Hochstetler, better known as Ocho, is an American poker player, veteran photographer, and the Vice President of the RunGood Poker Series. She is originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina, but now lives in Kansas City, Missouri. Hayley currently has a career live tournament earnings of $21.6K, with a best live cash of $3.3K. She’s also made a brief appearance on Hustler Casino Live.
Hayley was raised as a military child. Her father served in the United States Army for 21 years as a Battalion Sergeant Major. Since they moved so much, she became more interested in sports than in people. Hayley spent her elementary school years in Heidelberg, Germany. They then relocated to Fayetteville, North Carolina for her middle school years before settling in Council Bluffs, Iowa for her high school years.
She started working at a movie theater, where she cleaned the theaters, sold tickets, and popped popcorn. Hayley also worked briefly at the Buckle, a clothing store. Ocho dropped out of Iowa State University after only one semester of journalism study in 2013. She aspired to work as a sports photographer for an NFL or MLB team. While in college, Hayley worked as a newspaper staff for the Iowa State Daily newspaper, covering Big 12 sporting events. She had mental health issues and had to return to her hometown after college to work as a cocktail waitress at Horseshoe Council Bluffs for four and a half years, which led her to her current position at RunGood.
Hochstetler began playing poker on the free WSOP app before moving on to live cash games when she turned 21. She met the RunGood Poker Series crew shortly after turning 21 and ran into Tana Karn (the President of RunGood). She offered to take the tour’s photography to the next level. He gave her a chance, and she’s been with the team ever since, though her job is now quite varied and not solely focused on photography. Hayles has been in the casino industry for nearly eight years, and poker for nearly five.
Hayley Hochstetler has only appeared on HCL once as of this writing. She made her first appearance in Episode 320 Max Pain Monday in November 2022. She faced off against regulars like Sia The Bot, DGAF, Sashimi, and others. They competed in a $10/20 No Limit Hold’em game. Throughout this episode, Hayley’s strategic moves and decisions were spot on. As a result, she won the most money, $14K.
Hochstetler currently has a career live tournament earnings total of $21.6K, with a best live cash of $3.3K. She earned her highest live cash by placing second in the $150 No Limit Hold’em at the 2023 South Point Tournaments in Las Vegas in June 2023. In October of 2018, Hayley began competing in live tournaments. At the 2018 RUNGOOD Poker Series in Council Bluffs, she competed in the $180 No Limit Hold’em event. Hochstetler came in 20th place and earned $369. Her most recent appearance, on the other hand, was in July 2023. She earned $320 after placing 43rd in the $200 No Limit Hold’em event at the 2023 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
