Pepe’s Clever check on the Turn Wins him the Max Vs Santhosh

Check out this hand from day 3 of High stakes week at Hustler Casino Live. It was live streamed on Hustler Casino’s YouTube channel on the 29th November 2023. The hand was played between Pepe & Santhosh With the blinds being $100/$200/$400.

The action began with Nik Airball ($86,000) limping into the pot from the cut-off with 106. That was enough for the aggressive player Santhosh ($192,300) who attacked the limp by raising it up to $4,000 with K8. His timing could not have been any worse, Pepe ($311,500) had woken up with Pocket Aces AA in the big blind. $14,000 was the 3-bet amount from Pepe. This got folds from the table, until the action was back On Santhosh, not wanting to let his hand go, he put put a further $10,000 to see the flop. Two players went to the flop with $28,900 in the middle.

The flop came down Q54 Pepe’s aces were miles ahead at this stage. First to act led out $10,000. Surprinsgly Santhosh made the call, perhaps with a plan to try and take the pot down on further streets. The pot now stood at $48,900.

Pepe Throw’s In a Clever Check on the Turn

The turn was the 10 although he did not know it, Santhosh was now drawing dead. First to act, this time Pepe threw in a sneaky check, to allow his aggressive opponent to bet at the pot. And that is exactly what he did, $36,000 was the bet, this was met by a call from Pepe. Going to the river the pot now stood at a colossal $120,900.

The river was another four 4 pairing the board. Once again Pepe checked it over. Knowing that King high was unlikely to be good, Santhosh put out a bet of $59,000 to try and get the fold. Although he was not happy with facing the river bet, Pepe just couldn’t find a fold. He looked relieved after making the call, and seeing Santhosh turning over complete air.
