Battle Of The Jacks Between Nick Vertucci & Sashimi

Live action returned to Hustler Casino Live last night after a 2-week hiatus due to several HCL staff being out in Vegas for the WSOP. Let’s dive in and look at this interesting hand between Nick Vertucci & Sashimi. As always the action was live-streamed on Hustler Casino’s YouTube channel. DQ ($8,590) got the ball rolling with a raise to $120 from the +1 while holding A7. He was met by resistance from Nick ($20,880) in the High-Jack who chucked out a 3-bet to $420. Last to join the hand was Sashimi ($11,620) on the button, who called with J8.

Both Nick & Sashimi had flopped a pair of jacks after the board read J73. DQ now had a pair of sevens. Nick continued his pre-flop aggression, second to act he bet out $550. Both players called, and to the Turn they went with $3,000 in the middle.

To Free card or Not to Free Card, That is the question

The Turn 2 was an interesting card for sure Sashimi had now picked up a flush draw. After both players checked, it was now on her to decide whether to take the free card. Well…. no chance of that happening! The bet was fierce, $3,000. DQ made the easy laydown, just how much trust did Vertucci have in his mediocre hand? A lot is the answer, he near instantly ripped his stack in the middle. Sashimi made the call, even with the flush draw she was a 3-1 underdog.

Nick had managed to hold After the 4 on the river, known for his rather conservative play, Vertucci adjusted well to the Loose/aggressive style of his opponent.
