The Ante Game Brings the 1st $100k+ Pot of the New Year

The Ante Game Kick’s Off the New Year with $100k+ Pot: Hustler Casino Live

Let’s take a look at the first $100k+ pot of the new year at Hustler Casino Live. It happened during The Ante Game which was live streamed on Hustler Casino’s YouTube channel on the 2nd January 2024. The hand was played between Pepe, Luda Chris & Mike X. With the blinds being $25/$50 with every player paying a $25 ante into the pot.

The action began with Pepe ($95,250) raising it up to $500 from UTG with AAce of SpadesQQueen of Spades. This was met by a call from Luda Chris ($53,450) in the +1 who had been dealt pocket eights 88 of Hearts88 of Clubs. In the +4 was Mike X ($23,975) who chucked in a 3-bet of $2,500 with big slick AAce of ClubsKKing of Clubs. What happened next was a little surprising, Francisco in the high-jack laid down his pocket Jack’s JJoker of HeartsJJoker of Clubs with a stack size of just $20,900, Pocket Jack’s in this scenario would be a dream spot to Jam and try and pick up a decent sized pot.

With the action now back on Pepe he just made the call, as did Luda Chris. Going to the flop there was $7,650 in the middle.

Luda Chris Bringing the Cooler with the Snowmen

The flop was insanely hot for Luda who had not only flopped a set of eight’s 88 of Spades1010 of DiamondsAAce of Hearts but his opponent’s had both flopped a pair of ace’s. The action was checked around to Mike x who fired out a bet of $2,500 with his top pair top kicker. Pepe made the call which was met by a raise of $8,000 from Chris. Both Pepe & Mike put out a further $5,500 to see the turn. Three players still remained with the pot now standing at a hefty $31,650.

On the turn was a non eventful 66 of Clubs the question was how much can Luda extract from his opponents?. $13,000 was the amount Mike X was now faced with. Unwilling to let his top pair top kicker go, he made the call which was followed by a call from Pepe. There was now over $70k in the middle going to river.

The river revealed another low card the 22 of Clubs. Pepe checked for a third time over to Luda who jammed all in for a total of $29.975. Mike with just $375 left made the call. The action was now on Pepe who by this stage probably knew his hand was no good. However his opponent is known for playing a loose aggressive game and is capable of having bluffs in these types of spots. With a price of 3-1 factoring into his decision Pepe did eventually make the call and received the bad news. Luda Chris scooped the huge $130,975 pot.
