What a Final Hand of the Night at PATL: A Slice of Good Fortune

The last hand of the night can sometimes be a little more entertaining than usual, players often roll the dice a little harder, playing hands they’d usually muck. However, This hand was an absolute monster during Friday Night’s Poker At The Lodge Stream. Let’s check out how it unfolded. The hand was played between Slicer and James Jagger with the blinds set at $5/$10. As always the action was live streamed on Poker At The Lodge’s YouTube Channel.

After several straddles, the get underway from Jay ($15.1k) in the big blind, he raised it to $300 with KKing of SpadesQQueen of Hearts. Slicer ($15.4k) one of the Straddlers made the call from UTG while holding pocket Ducks 22 of Hearts22 of Diamonds. Last to act Jagger ($15.6k) also made the call from the highjack with 99 of Spades44 of Spades. Three ways to the flop with the pot just shy of $1k ($9.65).

Are You Serious Dealer!

Last to act Jagger bet out $300 drawing to a flushdraw on a board of 66 of Spades1010 of Spades1010 of Clubs. Knowing his Deuces could likely still be good slicer peeled a turn. Headsup to the Turn.

And what a Turn it was! Dealer why so cruel! The 22 of Spades had given Jagger the Spade flush, better still though, it had made Slicer a Fullhouse, Deuces full of Tens. Last to act Jagger surprisingly checked back, betting for value and to charge a higher flush draw is often the play.

Slicer checked it over for a third time after the 99 of Hearts was revealed on the River. A risky play considering he had just seen his opponent check back, luckily for him his opponent had a monster too! Jagger bet huge, $1,400 into the $1,565 pot. Kudos to James, he did not instantly call the raise of $6k, given the way the hand played out though, realistically who is folding a flush in this spot? What a nice slice of luck to wrap up the night.
