Xuan Liu was born in Tianjin, China, and is a Canadian poker player and former 888poker and Natural8 ambassador. She is a professional poker player with over $2 million in career live earnings. Xuan Liu Early Life

Xuan Liu was born in Toronto, Ontario, in 1985. She began playing poker while pursuing a Chartered Financial Analyst degree at the University of Waterloo. Xuan began her poker career by playing online games on PartyPoker, as well as Sit’n’Go’s and low-stakes Limit Hold’em at local charity casinos in Toronto. 

She first appeared on the live tournament circuit in 2007, but it wasn’t until 2010 that she began to take things seriously.

Xuan Liu Poker Career

She competed in the inaugural Aria Classic in Las Vegas in 2010. Xuan won first place for $7,740. She also competed in the Italian Poker Tour in Sanremo in December of the same year, finishing first and earning $64,376.

In 2011, she competed in her second EPT event, finishing third at the European Poker Tour in Sanremo and earning $524,705.

The following January, she set out on the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure on Paradise Island. She finished fourth and earned $600,000. American poker player John Dibella took first place in that event, earning $1,775,000. She also earned $29,985 at the 43rd World Series of Poker in Las Vegas the same year. 

In 2013, she competed in the KRW 2,760,000 + 240,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event at the Asia Pacific Poker Tour in Seoul. She finished fourth and earned $40,711.

Xuan Liu has had many notable accomplishments, particularly her participation in the Aussie Millions Poker Championship in Melbourne in January 2015. Liu came in second place and earned $58,733. She also finished fourth at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open in Hollywood that August, earning $70,900.

Liu continued to excel, She had first place finishes in both 2016 and 2017, Earning $27,476 at the Asia Pacific Poker Tour in Macau and $232,114 at the World Poker Tour Fallsview Poker Classic in Niagara Falls.

In July 2019, she competed in the Goliath Phamous Poker Series in Las Vegas, where she finished in first place for $20,000.

Another notable achievement came from the PokerGO Tour Poker Masters in Las Vegas in September 2022. She made the final table by finishing third and earning $96,200.

Her most recent tournament participation was at the World Series of Poker Online 2023 US ONLY, where she finished 33rd.

Xuan Liu Poker Career in Cash Games

In addition to being a professional poker player, Xuan Liu also plays cash games. Since 2022, she has juggled taking part in Hustler Casino Live, Live at the Bike, High Stakes Poker, and Poker at the Lodge.

When she first made an appearance in Live at the Bike’s Episode 92 in February 2022, she earned her highest cash game cash of $83,950. The following March, she played in High Stakes Poker S9 Episode 4, and took home $1,500 in profit.

In Episode 253 of Poker At the Lodge, which aired in April 2023, she also made her highest cash win of $47,400.

As of right now, Xuan Liu’s earnings from cash games are in the red because she lost a significant sum of money to PATL and HCL over the past few months. Her current net winnings are negative $194,180.
