Ethan “Rampage” Yau

Ethan “Rampage” Yau is a popular poker vlogger and professional. He was born in Massachusetts in 1997.  Rampage is fairly new to the poker scene and came on in 2018 with little to no experience.

Ethan “Rampage” Yau first started playing poker in 2018, around the same time he started streaming. His knowledge of the game came primarily from reading comments online. Yau’s first ever video consists of him reviewing hands he’d played in after he got back from the casino, which he also states in the video was his first time ever playing a live cash game. Immediately it could be seen that Ethan had a good understanding of the game despite only recently being introduced to it. Now, Ethan has over 200k subscribers on YouTube and is officially a professional poker player/vlogger, putting out content weekly.

Ethan’s HendonMob page shows 95 tournament cashes with a mix of mid to high stakes and total live earnings of $1,802,297, a large amount of success for someone who was a complete novice to poker in 2018. Ethan’s first tournament cash was in October 2019 in a $160 NLHE tournament in Boston where he finished 4th and cashed $1,800. In 2020 Ethan won a WSOP bracelet in the WSOP Online $500 NLHE Grand Finale event, finishing 1st and cashing $164,494. He cashed in a total of 13 WSOP Online Events between 2020-2021.

Yau had another high stakes win in 2021 on the DeepStack Poker Championship Series in a $1,100 NLHE Event, finishing 1st and cashing $230,379. Yau’s next high-stakes win came in September 2022 at a PokerGo Tour $10,000 NLHE Event, where he finished in 1st and cashed $197,600. In December 2022, Rampage achieved his biggest-ever live cash during a WPT event in Las Vegas. Also, in the $25,000 NLHE High Roller Event, Ethan finished 1st and cashed $894,240. 

In March 2023, Rampage won a hand on Hustler Casino Live against Nik Airball with of pot of $312,900. Also in March, Ethan featured in a hand on Hustler Casino Live where he punted towards a $333k pot, which he, unfortunately, lost out on.

Ethan is a natural learner and diligent worker which has helped him develop his game quickly and get a seat at the table with some of the best players in the game, with no more than half a decade of poker experience.
