Daring Bluff By Raymond: Will Henry Find a Fold?

Wow, you have to give credit where it’s due. What a daring bluff by Raymond, as he turns his hand into a bluff with the nuts blocker. The hand occurred during a Friday night’s High Stakes stream at Hustler Casino Live. It was live-streamed on Hustler Casino’s YouTube channel on May 17th, 2024. The hand was played between Raymond & King Henry with the blinds being $50/$100/$100.

Raymond ($76,625) got the hand underway by raising it to $300 from the +1 with AJ. After a couple of folds, Henry ($124,950) having liked what he had been dealt, put out a 3-bet to $900 with 109. The rest of the table folded and the action was back on the initial raiser. Raymond made the call. Headsup the pair went to the flop with $2,050 in the middle.

Both Players had flopped 9A10 well, however, Henry had by far the best of it with two pairs. first to act Raymond checked it over to the pre-flop aggressor who responded with a sizeable bet of $1,300. Raymond made the call, and to the turn they went.

Having been checked to for a second time Henry came out firing once again, this time it was a huge pot bet of $4,600 after the 6 was revealed.

Raymond Pulls Off the Daring Bluff

The river 2 was an interesting one for sure, the way the hand played out Raymond could have been chasing the flush. Raymond for the third time checked it over to his opponent, now the question is does Henry go for thin value?. the bet was another large one, this time a huge $13,300, Did henry believe his opponent was incapable of turning his hand into a bluff here? Well, that is exactly what he did.

Holding the Ace of Clubs, Raymond knew his opponent could not hold the nuts. Using this to his advantage, he fired out a daring bluff off $45,000. Immediately, Henry was frustrated that he did not check back the river. After a little thought, he went on to muck his hand. Sometimes if you go for thin value, you have to be prepared to fold the best hand occasionally.
