Drunk Airball Plays the Final Hand

In the very last hand of the night, we saw 4-way action to the flop. Once the flop it it was heads-up for the remainder of the hand between Nik Airball and Jennifer Tilly.  Nik in a middle position placed a straddle bet of $1,600 with $946k in his stack. Sticking around for the preflop action was Bellande with K♥️5♥️, Tilly with J♥️J♣️, Airball with A♥️ 2♠️, and Berkey with 7♠️5♣️. Bellande called $3,000 at Small Blind and Tilly raised to $3,200. All four players called and went to the flop with a $13,700 pot.

J♠️9♠️5♠️ came down on the flop. Bellande and Berkey checked while Nik bet $400 looking for the flush draw. Jennifer, tellingly by her response of “Can you bet $400?” thought this was a miniscule bet and raised to $7,000. This triggered Bellande and Berkey to fold. Nik, swirling his glass of wine, insisted he’s drunk but not an idiot, called Tilly’s raise, sending them to the turn with the pot at $27,700.

Q♥️ showed up on the turn and Tilly bet $15,000 which Nik check-raised to $50,000. Before Nik made his decision he gave Jennifer Tilly a heart-felt speech. He said he was a happy man regardless of a win or loss, because he was playing poker against the people he grew up watching which for him is a dream come true. As he finished his speech, Tilly, with a set, went all-in at $157k. After Nik proclaimed his sobriety for a couple more minutes and Doug called clock on him, he made the decision to fold and Jennifer Tilly won the final pot of the night which totaled $235,300.
