Driss Has no Fear Vs DGAF on HCL’s Maximum Pain Monday

Check out this hand from a Maximum Pain Monday stream on Hustler Casino Live. It was live streamed on Hustler Casino’s YouTube channel on the 13th November The hand was played between Billy “DGAF” & Driss with the blinds being $10/20/40 with a $20 BB Ante.

The action began with DGAF ($8,050) going for the trap by limping KKing of SpadesKKing of Clubsfrom the +1. This got San Man ($4,000) to limp in too with 44 of Clubs33 of Heartsfrom the High-Jack. Simon ($5,880) in the Cut-Off also limped into the hand with a pocket pair of his own 55 of Hearts55 of Diamonds. The action was now on Driss ($8,580)in the big blind, seeing to much limping in-front he decided to get dicey with KKing of Diamonds77 of Heartsand raised it up to $120. Alarm bell’s probably should have been going off for Driss now, as DGAF turned his limped hand into a 3-bet of $520. San Man got out the way, Simon however made the call, as did Driss. Going to the flop there was $1,610 in the middle.

The flop came down 88 of SpadesJJoker of Clubs77 of Diamonds giving Driss a pair of seven’s, Billy’s pair of kings were still considerably in the lead. First to act, Driss checked, as did Billy, this led to Simon also checking back his pair of fives.

DGAF’s play Backfire’s with Ugly Runout

The turn was the 33 of Spadesputting two spades out there. This time, Driss first to act, led out with a meaty bet of $1,960. DGAF just made the call. Jamming all in, giving the action and the size of the pot would be a reasonable play. At the same time though, he was in position and could continue to set the trap. Simon made the easy lay down with his small pocket pair. To the Turn they went with the pot now standing at $5,530.

The Turn was a far from favourable one, the 1010 of Spadesa card, giving the action could definitely have made Driss a made hand. Billy at this stage had to remind himself, what did he set out to achieve with this hand from the beginning? the answer, to set the trap against the aggressive player in the Big Blind. Therefore it is somewhat contradictory to fold vs a river bet from Driss.

Driss knowing that the board run out was a favourable one to him, led out with a huge bet of $5,570 a just over pot bet. After a lot of thought Billy did make the fold, stating “any river card but that one I make the call”. A hand i’m sure he would love to play again.
