DJ Washburn’s Over Confidence is Knocked Down By Sia The Bot on Thirsty Thursday

Check out this hand from a Thirsty Thursday stream on Hustler Casino Live. It was live streamed on Hustler Casino’s YouTube channel on the 9th November 2023. The hand was played between Sia The Bot & DJ Washburn with the blinds being $10/$20/$40 + a $20 BB ante.

The action began with Nikos ($1,910) Limping UTG with 10 10 of Diamonds 7 7 of Spades this encouraged Big John ($6,530) in the +1 to join the hand as he limped too with 10 10 of Spades 8 8 of Hearts . DJ Washburn ($17,130) in the cut-off also joined the hand by limping in with 4 4 of Hearts 4 4 of Clubs . On the Button was Dr.P ($8,130) not wanting to feel left out, he also joined in by limping with 9 9 of Clubs 7 7 of Hearts . In the Small blind was Sia ($15,670) , having seen so many limps in-front she threw in a raise to $300 with 7 7 of Clubs 6 6 of Diamonds . Four players went to the flop with Nikos, DJ Washburn, Dr.P calling Sia’s raise. The pot stood at $1,300.

The flop came down 4 4 of Spades 5 5 of Diamonds Q Queen of Diamonds Giving Washburn a set of four’s, and Sia an up and down straight draw, with a weak back door diamond flush draw. The action was checked around to Washburn who bet out $400 with his set. Dr.P folded his air, Sia liking the look of her straight draw made the call. Nikos having completely missed made the easy laydown. Two players to the turn with $2,100 out there.

DJ Washburn Confidently Bet’s out on the Turn

The turn was the dream card for The Bot the 8 8 of Clubs she just needed to avoid the river pairing on the river. The Bot First to act checked it over to Washburn, who put out a very confident bet of $1,200. Electing to just slow play her nut straight, sia just calledgoing to the River there was $4,500 in the middle.

The river was a safe card 6 6 of Spades for Sia her hand had held up, the only downside was it did make the board look dangerous, with four to a straight being out there. Once again Sia cheekily checked it over to her opponent. Washburn looking even more confident at this stage, put out a $2,200 bet. His smile soon become a frown as Sia raised it up to $6,000. Reluctantly Washburn made the call, allowing Sia to scoop the $15,900 pot.
