Conrad Simpson Turned Up to Gamble in the WPT Cash Game Stream

Check out this hand from a $25/$50 Content creator stream that occurred on a World Poker Tour Stream (WPT). It was live streamed on their YouTube and Twitch channels on December 7th 2023. The hand was played between WPT Global‘s Latest Ambassador Jon Van “Apestyles” Fleet & Only Friends Podcast host Conrad Simpson.

The action Began with Apestyles ($6,175) UTG putting out a $100 Straddle, this was followed by a raise to $350 from Conrad ($4,375) in the high-jack with K6. BensBenz ($9,425) A popular Twitch streamer made the call from the big blind with 54. The action was now back on Apestyles the UTG straddler. John liked what he had, pocket nines 99 and threw in a very large raise to $2,600. You would expect the action to go fold, fold, however Conrad had other ideas, feeling in a gambly mood he put the remainder of his stack in the middle having just looked at one card, Jon made the call. The pot stood at an incredible $9,125. Both players agreed to run it twice.

The first board ran out 6K2, A, 2 guaranteeing Simpson half of the pot. the second run came down 54Q on the flop with the K hitting the turn. Barring lady luck on the river, Conrad was going to lock up the pot. The river revealed the 7 no miracle two outer for Apestyles and Conrad’s gamble paid off not once but twice!
