The Play Of The Night: Can Alex get Sashimi To Fold

In this thrilling hand from a $10/$20/$40 + $40 BB Ante game on Hustler Casino Live, Alex and Sashimi went heads-up in what Joey Ingram called it the play of the night. He was joined in the commentary booth by Nik Airball.

After an UTG straddle and a fold from +1, Sashimi in the High-Jack amped it up to $300 after looking down at A♠️K♦️ and $28,100 in her stack. All following positions up to Alex in the 3rd Blind folded and with Q♠️Q♣️ and $24,820 in his stack, he made a 3-bet of $1,100.

A fold from the straddler followed and Sashimi decided to juice up the pot even more with a 4-bet to $3,000. Alex called and they went heads-up to the flop with $6,150 in the middle.

Sashimi found top pair after the board flopped A♣️4♠️8♣️, Alex’s Queen’s had been out-flopped. He was looking for the two remaining Queens or a runner-runner flush draw. Alex checked it back to Sashimi who put in a bet of $2,000. He called and they took it to the turn with $10,150 in the pot.

The 10♣️ on the turn put Alex one step closer to the flush, although both players just flat-checked and it was time for the river.

Grim river for Alex doesn’t stop him from heroically taking it down

It looked like things weren’t going to go Alex’s way after drawing dead on the river. He checked it to Sashimi who bet $5,500. Alex then boldly jammed all-in for $19,860 and sent Sashimi into a chip-shuffling spiralling tank. After almost 2 solid minutes, Sashimi laid down her cards. Alex pulled off the play of the night with a sick bluff and scooped a $35,150 pot.
