Will Rampage’s Over Bet be respected

Will Airball see through Rampage’s Over Bet on the River

Let’s take a look at this hand from a Super High Stakes stream at Hustler Casino Live. Will Rampage’s Over bet on the river yield folds? It was live streamed on Hustler Casino’s YouTube channel on January 12th 2024. The hand was played between Ethan “Rampage” Yau & Nik Airball With the blinds being $100/$200/$400.

The action began with Rampage ($292.200) in the +1 raising it up to $4,000 with KKing of SpadesKKing of Hearts. This was met by a call from Airball ($150,900) in the cut-off who had been dealt AAce of Hearts77 of Hearts. Aaron ($269,000) in the small blind had a suited ace of his own AAce of Diamonds66 of Diamondsand made the call for a further $3,900. Undeterred by the hand he had been dealt JJoker of Diamonds66 of Spades Brandon ($195,000) also joined the action. Four players went to the flop with $16,000 in the middle.

The flop was a well connected one 22 of Hearts55 of Spades66 of Hearts, both Aaron & Brandon had flopped top pair whilst Nik had a flush draw to go with his ace high. The hand was checked all the way around and to the turn they went.

There Was now Four to a Straight on the Board

On the turn was another connected card when the 44 of Spades landed, there was now also a spade flush draw out there. Second to act once checked to Brandon put out a bet of $7,000. Rampage and Airball both made the call, Aaron however wanted no further part to play with his top pair top kicker. Three players to the river with the pot now standing at $37,000.

The board ran out a straight when the 33 of Spades landed this prompted Brandon to check it over. Unwilling to perhaps chop up the pot Rampage saw an opportunity to over bet bluff and try and take down the pot. $45,000 was the price, with this bet sizing presuming his opponents had neither a flush or a seven in their hand, would they be willing to call here to chop it at best? As it is a seven is exactly what Airball had but he had to work out exactly what Rampage’s over bet bluff meant. This would be one of three things, A Flush, a Straight having a seven or seven eight, although unlikely given the raise from the +1 pre flop. Or a stone cold bluff to try and get his opponents of the chop.

After a lot of thought Airball made the incorrect fold giving way to much credit to his opponent. What a nice over Bet bluff from Rampage allowing him to scoop up the $37,000 that was in the middle. Check out the video below to see how the hand played out.
