In NLHE when you flop a set, you do not expect to lose the hand, but if you do it will most likely be against straights or flushes. Losing to another flopped Set? That should be illegal lol. the hand occurred at Bally Live Poker with the action live-streamed on Bally Live Poker’s YouTube channel on the 27th of June 2024. The blinds were $25/50 + a $50 BB big blind ante.
The hand got underway when Yoh Viral ($103k) raised it to $300 from the +1 while holding pocket Jacks . In the high-jack, Justin ($13.7k) called with pocket Sevens . Next, Armenian Mike ($3.4k) who was super shallow, joined the action on the button with . Last to join the pot was TJ ($18.3k) in the small blind, he made the call with pocket Nines . Going to the flop there was $1.3k in play.
The flop
was incredibly cold for TJ who had flopped a set of nines, he was miles behind Yoh Viral who had flopped top set! Viral second to act bet out $900. After Justin folded, Mike being the shorty was never going to get away from top pair and made the call. TJ surprisingly just flatted on such a wet board, the turn could bring several scare cards that could prevent him from getting much further action. Also by just flatting he is allowing his opponents to draw cheaper.Wait a Second, this is not meant to happen! the case Nine
on the turn, TJ has just turned quads, Wow! The action was checked over to Armenian Mike who jammed his remaining $2.5k “All in”At this stage, TJ was licking his lips in anticipation of winning a huge pot. Like a kid in a candy store, he was deciding how much to raise to keep viral in the hand, $5.2k was the amount. It was time for Yoh Viral to move “All in” which Snap called quicker than you could say “Ship the Pot” and what a pot it was!
