The 888poker LIVE 2024 tour marked its second stop of the year with the conclusion of the Bucharest leg on March 25th. Razvan Morar Went on to clinch the title and claim $37k in Winnings. The €200k guaranteed Main event participants enjoyed added value as only €190k was collected from buy-ins.

The 888poker LIVE event in Bucharest spanned 10 days, commencing on March 16th. The schedule featured a variety of smaller events leading up to the main attraction.

In total, nine events took place. Accompanied by numerous satellite events enabling players to secure seats at a lower cost for premier games like the Main Event and the High Roller tournament. The Main Event attracted 381 entries across four opening flights, resulting in a competitive field and a substantial prize pool of €190,500.

The Final Table Was A Romanian Affair

Razvan Morar, a local Romanian player, emerged victorious in the Main Event, claiming the €37k top prize. Despite starting at a disadvantage during the final table and facing a three-to-one chip deficit in the heads-up showdown against fellow Romanian Florin Elisei, Morar staged a remarkable comeback, eventually seizing all the chips and the coveted top prize.

The final table saw Morar facing adversity earlier on, with his chip stack dwindling to as low as five big blinds. However, strategic play and perseverance allowed him to outlast his opponents and clinch the title.

Upcoming Stop in Barcelona

Following the success of the Bucharest leg, the 888poker LIVE tour sets its sights on Barcelona for its next edition. Scheduled to commence on May 8th, the Barcelona stop promises an array of exciting events. Including the Main Event with four flights and other notable tournaments like the Opening Event, a ladies’ event, a high roller tournament, and a four-card PLO game.
