Prince Charles’ Night Goes From Bad to Worse during Day 1 of High Stakes Week

Check out this hand from day 1 of High stakes week at Hustler Casino Live. It was live streamed on Hustler Casino’s YouTube channel on the 27th November 2023. The hand was played between Prince Charles & Santhosh With the blinds being $100/$200/$400 Charles had started the evening with a torrid run of hands, being down $115k before this hand was played.

The hand began with Charles’ ($96,000) raising it up to $1,400 from the +1 with AAce of Clubs99 of Clubs. This got a call from Mo ($199,100) on the button with JJoker of Spades1010 of Diamonds. Brandon ($183,100) in the big blind also joined the action with QQueen of Spades77 of Diamonds. Last to act and not wanting to miss out, Santhosh ($239,800) in the third blind made the call putting in $1,000 to see the flop. Four players went to the flop with $5,700 in the middle.

What a Flop for Charles

The flop came down AAce of Spades99 of DiamondsJJoker of Clubs giving Charles top and bottom pair, Mo a pair of Jacks. Santhosh had picked up a up and down straight draw. Brandon & Santhosh checked it over to Charles, who fired a large bet of $5,000 into the $5.7k pot. Not wanting to give up on his pair just yet, Mo made the call. As did Santhosh with his straight draw. The pot now stood at $20,700 with three players still in the hand.

The turn was the 66 of Diamonds a card that had missed for all involved. The action was once again checked over to Charles, and just like before the bet sizing was close to pot, $20,000 was the sizeable bet. This did not deter Santhosh from chasing, he wasted little time putting out the chips. The pot was now an ever growing $60,700.

Santhosh had been rewarded on the river when the QQueen of Hearts was revealed. Being out off position, Santhosh decided it was best to lead out if he was going to get paid. $58,000 was the bet. Even though Charles’ was clearly unhappy by not just the river, but also the large lead out bet, he weighed it up and figured his aggressive opponent could foreseeably have worse. Charles’ next move was to move all in for his remaining $11,600. His bet was matched by a snap call, and the huge $188,300 pot was shipped over to Santhosh, Prince Charles’ night had gone from bad to worse.
