William Payne’s first recorded live cash occurred in January 2006 at the Gold Strike World Poker Open in Tunica. He finished in 13th place in a $1,500 + 70 No Limit Hold’em, cashing $2,241.

In December 2008, William entered in a $5,000 + 150 No Limit Hold’em Championship at the Winter Bayou Poker Challenge. He finished in 4th place, securing his best live cash of $39,084.

Following this, in September 2009, William played in a $300 + 40 No Limit Hold’em at the Gulf Coast Poker Championship in Biloxi. He ended up in 4th place, pocketing $8,302.

Then, in May 2011, William joined in a $1,600 No Limit Hold’em Main Event at the WSOP Circuit in New Orleans. He ended up in 7th place, taking home $18,185.

Later that year, in September, William engaged in a $300 No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry at TJ Cloutier Choctaw Poker Challenge in Durant. He finished in 4th place, claiming $5,494.

Fast forward to February 2018. William participated in a $200 + 25 No Limit Hold’em Saturday $25k at the Wynn Casino Recurring Tournaments. He placed 4th, cashing $5,086.

In July 2022, William competed in a $400 No Limit Hold’em – Gargantuan Ring Event #3 at the WSOP Circuit in Dallas. He ended up in 202nd place, earning $604.
