Wendell Barnes’ first recorded live cash occurred in April 2005 at the New England Poker Classic in Mashantucket. He finished in 2nd place in a $2,000 + 150 No Limit Hold’em, earning $80,560.

Then, on January 16, 2006, Wendell made his mark by securing his first ring at the WSOPC in Tunica. He won $39,975 in a $500 + 50 No Limit Hold’em Shootout.

Just a few days later, on January 23, 2006, he played in the $10,000 No Limit Hold’em Championship from the same series. Wendell finished in 7th place, securing his best live cash of $91,580.
