Wayne Heung, hailing from Hong Kong, has made a mark in the poker world with total earnings of over $2.6 million. He’s currently 8th on Hong Kong’s All Time Money List. Starting his poker journey in 2017, Wayne Heung has since notched remarkable victories.
In 2017, Heung started his poker career at the The Star Casino Recurring Tournaments, marking a stellar debut. Despite finishing 7th place, he still walked away with $2,166 in prize money. In December that same year, he earned a respectable 3rd place in the APT Macau Championships pocketing an additional $2,687.
Heung’s poker dedication resulted in his first victory in March 2019. During this time, he won the WPT Vietnam which brought him a substantial prize of $86,319. He also amassed a total of $54,928 in April during the week of Asia Pacific Poker Tour Korea. In May, he secured another victory in the Asia Poker League Vietnam and earned $61,422. Furthermore, Heung secured his 3rd victory of the year at HKPPA Premier League Taiwan and earned $31,517 in October.
In May 2022, Heung made his first appearance in the Triton Series in Madrid. In a preflop showdown, Michael Addamo‘s pocket queens clashed with Heung’s A-K. The queens stood their ground, sealing Heung’s fate in fourth place with a prize of $178,809. Merely weeks after, he emerged victorious in the PokerGO Tour Italy, earning $172,270 after topping a field of 24 entries.
Heung strengthened his poker career at the September 2022 EPT Barcelona €10K Event. With 99 entries amassing a final prize pool of $9.9 million, Heung clinched 2nd place, earning an impressive $1,825,000 — his highest career winnings to date. This victory propelled him to the 89th spot on the Triton All Time Money List. Ultimately, the tournament was claimed by Punnat Punsri, who took home $2,600,000.
Heung was last seen winning 7th place and $64,711 at the World Series of Poker Europe in November 2022.
