Vivek Rajkumar was born in India but raised in Singapore. His parents moved to Seattle after he graduated from college. He attended the University of Washington and earned a degree in Computer Engineering.

Rajkumar was hired as a Microsoft Software Engineer shortly after graduation. Vivek frequently participated in small poker tournaments along the West Coast and North West of the United States while working at Microsoft.
