Vipul Kothari first recorded live cash occurred in October 2004 at the World Poker Finals in Mashantucket. He finished in 67th place in a $500 + 65 No Limit Hold’em, cashing $1,156.

In January 2005, Vipul played in a $500 + 50 No Limit Hold’em at the Sixth Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open in Tunica. He finished in 5th place and earned $30,936.
