Umang “Ronnie” Dattani

Umang Dattani, also known as “Ronnie,” is a Canadian professional poker player from Calgary, Alberta. He has live earnings exceeding $606K, with his largest single cash being $229,281. In January 2024, Dattani achieved his first WSOPC Ring at the WSOP International Circuit held in Calgary.

Umang Dattani: Live Tournament Participation

Umang Dattani first appeared in a recorded live tournament in June 2006. He entered the Calgary Classic in a C$1,500 + 65 No Limit Hold’em event. Dattani finished 3rd place and 

He won in a C$500 + 50 No Limit Hold’em event in August 2010. Dattani entered the Canadian Open Poker Championship in Calgary, taking home a cash prize of $31,700.

At the 44th WSOP in July 2013, Umang competed in a $10,000 World Championship – No Limit Hold’em. He earned $229,281 achieving his highest single cash to date.

In October 2019, he secured 1st place in a C$500 + 60 No Limit Hold’em event at the 2019 Wild West Shoot Out in Calgary. Umang won $10,275.

Continuing his winning streak, Umang emerged victorious in August 2023 at the Deerfoot Summer Super Stack in Calgary. He participated in a C$1,350 + 150 No Limit Hold’em – Superstack event. He won a substantial $72,709.

During the WSOP International Circuit on January 15th, 2024, in Calgary, Umang won the C$330 + 70 Pot Limit Omaha – Monster Stack event. He received his first ever WSOPC Ring together with a grand prize of $17,950. 

In his most recent appearance at the time of writing, on January 16th, 2024, he earned $1,739. Dattani joined in a C$330 + 70 No Limit Hold’em – Monster Stack event in the same tournament in Calgary.
