Tuan Anh Vu, better known as Tommy, is a Vietnamese American poker player and real estate investor with total live earnings of $2,004,690. His best live cash of $364,761 came when he finished in 2nd place at the 38th WSOP in June 2007 in Las Vegas.
Before becoming a poker player, he gained fame in the late 1980s as an infomercial celebrity promoting real estate investment seminars. Born in Vietnam and immigrating to the United States, Vu portrayed a rags-to-riches story, showcasing luxury cars, mansions, and bikini-clad women in his commercials. He taught strategies for profiting from distressed properties like foreclosures and tax liens. Vu eventually retired from real estate before transitioning to his poker career.
Tuan Anh Vu recorded his first live cash in April 1994 by placing 17th in the $1,500 Limit Hold’em event. At the 25th WSOP in Las Vegas, he earned $5,784.
In October 2004, he competed in the $1,570 No Limit Hold’em event at the Las Vegas Festa al Lago III. Vu claimed 1st place and took home $115,404.
In July 2005, Vu participated in the $10,000 No Limit Texas Hold’em – World Championship event. At the 36th WSOP in Las Vegas, finishing 22nd for $304,680.

In June 2013, Vu secured 5th place in the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event at the 44th WSOP in Las Vegas, earning $102,449.
In his most recent appearance in June 2024, Vu participated in the $600 No Limit Hold’em – PokerNews Deepstack Championship at the 55th WSOP in Las Vegas, finishing 728th, earning $1,201.
