Tuan Bui Le is an American professional poker player from Los Angeles, California, with over $5.7 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $2,856,150 came when he won the $25k WPT Championship at the Third Annual Five-Star World Poker Classic in April 2005.
Le has won two WSOPC rings: the first at the WSOPC Southern Indiana in October 2010 and the second at the WSOPC Philadelphia in May 2011.
Tuan Le, of Vietnamese descent, grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, before moving to Los Angeles, California, during middle school. He attended John Burroughs Junior High School, located at McCadden and 6th Street, and later pursued a finance major at California State University, Northridge.
Tuan Le recorded his first live cash in March 2001, he placed 4th in a $300 + $30 Limit Hold’em event at the Sport of Kings in Inglewood, earning $4,990.
Then, in November 2004, he won 1st place in the $10,000 + $200 No Limit Hold’em final day at the World Poker Finals in Mashantucket, cashing $1,549,588.
Following this success, in April 2005, he claimed 1st place in the $25,000 + $500 Main Event (WPT) No Limit Hold’em Championship at the Third Annual Five-Star World Poker Classic in Las Vegas, winning $2,856,150.
Moreover, in May 2014, he won the $10,000 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw (Event #5) at the 45th World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas, earning $355,324.
In addition, in May 2015, he secured 1st place in the $10,000 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball (Limit) Championship (Event #7) at the 46th WSOP, cashing $322,756.
He also finished 12th in the $5,000 No Limit Hold’em Six Handed (Event #32) at the same WSOP, earning $32,028.
Most recently, in July 2024, he participated in the $800 No Limit Hold’em – UltimateStack (Event #73) at the Venetian DeepStack Championship Poker Series in Las Vegas, finishing 42nd and earning $2,024.
