Tommy Grimes is an American professional poker player from Houston, Texas, with over $1 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $150,000 came when he finished in 1st place at the Four Queens Poker Classic in January 1997.
Tommy Grimes recorded his first live cash in May 4, 1989, he competed in a $2,500 Omaha Pot Limit event at the 20th World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas, finishing 8th and earning $13,800.
Three days later, on May 7, 1989, Grimes participated in a $2,000 No Limit Hold’em event at the same WSOP, where he finished 2nd and earned $122,000.
On January 1997, Grimes won the $5,000 + $85 No Limit Hold’em event at the Four Queens Poker Classic in Las Vegas, taking home $150,000.
Earlier, in January 1995, he won the $500 + $30 Pot Limit Hold’em event at the Queens Poker Classic V in Las Vegas, receiving $71,200.
