Tom McCormick’s poker career features several notable achievements. He earned his first live cash in April 1992 by placing 3rd in the $2,500 Limit Hold’em event at the 23rd World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas, winning $42,000. In May 1995, he finished 3rd in the $5,000 Limit Hold’em event at the 26th WSOP in Las Vegas, earning $70,200.

In January 2007, McCormick secured 1st place in the $2,000 No Limit Hold’em 6-Handed event at the Gold Strike World Poker Open in Tunica, receiving $74,132. Later that year, in December 2007, he achieved 2nd place in the $2,500 + $120 No Limit Hold’em Seniors Event at the Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas, earning $95,220.
