Tom Pniak began his poker career in May 1991 at the 22nd World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. He entered a $1,500 Limit Hold’em event and finished in 18th place, earning $5,124.
In July 2005, he participated in the $10,000 No Limit Texas Hold’em World Championship Event at the 36th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. There, he placed 70th and cashed $124,835.
After a few months, in September 2005, Pniak played in the $10,000 Main Event – No Limit Hold’em at the WSOPC in Las Vegas, where he finished 4th and earned $80,464.
In October 2006, he achieved significant success by winning the $1,500 + $90 No Limit Hold’em Seniors Event at the Festa Al Lago V Poker Tournament in Las Vegas. This victory earned him 1st place and $102,740.
