Ting Yi Eric Tsai’s first live cash occurred in July 2016 at the PokerStars Live Manila ₱2 Million Guaranteed event in Manila. In this ₱1,700 + 300 No Limit Hold’em tournament, he claimed 1st place prize of $1,601. Fast forward to February 2020, Tsai participated in the NT$ 130,000 + 10,000 No Limit Hold’em APPT Open Super High Roller event during the Asia Pacific Poker Tour in Taipei City. He clinched the title and secured a substantial prize of $58,097.

On June 6th, 2022, he participated in the $1,600 No Limit Hold’em Mid-States Poker Tour Event. It was part of the Venetian DeepStack Championship Series in Las Vegas. Tsai finished in 18th place and cashed for $20,850. Shortly thereafter, Tsai took part in the $5,000 No Limit Hold’em 6-Handed Event at the 53rd World Series of Poker in Las Vegas on June 21st, 2022, where he secured 25th position and cashed for $26,236.

In June 2023, Tsai returned to Las Vegas for the Venetian DeepStack Championship Poker Series. He triumphed in the $1,100 No Limit Hold’em UltimateStack Event and won the 1st place prize of $53,463. Tsai ventured into high-stakes competitions, including the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Jeju in March 2024. In the $20,000 + 1,200 No Limit Hold’em 8-Handed Event, he finished 16th and earned a cash prize of $55,500.

Most recently, in May 2024, Tsai competed in the KRW 7,000,000 No Limit Hold’em APT High Roller 8 Max Event during the Asian Poker Tour in Jeju. He claimed the 1st place position, earning an impressive $196,375 in prize money.
