Timofey Kuznetsov is a professional poker player from Russia. Years passed before the young Russian emerged out of hiding for the 2015 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Under the nickname Trueteller, Kuznetsov had been dominating High Stakes Online cash games.  

But before that, the well known Russian High roller Trueteller and not-so-famous player Timofey Kuznetsov were thought to be two separate poker players for a long time. It was discovered in May 2015 that they were one and the same person.

Trueteller remained a subtle guy when it comes to his personal life. Raised in a small Siberian city Kuznetsov then moved to Moscow when he was 17 years old to pursue his studies. Also, was greatly influenced to play poker by his friends when he was in Moscow.

Timofey Kuznetsov: Poker Career

Timofey Kuznetsov started joining live tournaments in 2015. His first live cash came in 2015 when he earned $2.15 million for placing fourth in the Aria $500k Super High Roller Bowl. This is his Best Live Cash to date. In the Aria SHRB series the following year, Kuznetsov won a $50k High Roller for $748,446. In addition, he cashed for around $91,000 for a fifth place finish in the 2017 Triton Series Poker Super High Roller Series HK$250k 6-max event.

Timofey Kuznetsov became an ambassador for PartyPoker in 2018. Entering 2019, Timofey had the result of his career so far, he won a coveted Triton trophy in event HK$ 1,000,000 No Limit Hold’em – Short Deck Ante Only (Event #8). Kuznetsov cashed for over $1.7 Million.

Kuznetsov cashed two events in the Triton Poker Super High Rollers Series in Budva, Montenegro. Finishing in the top 10 in both, for a total of over $500,000. Continuing his High Roller series in 2019, he had substantial earnings of nearly $1,900,000 from playing in the £250K NLH and £100K NLH events in London. In March 2020, he won the $100K NLH Short Deck at partypoker LIVE in Sochi, Russia for 1.2 million. Kuznetsov has now career earnings of $8,648,295 and ranked third in the Russia All Time Money List (at the time of writing)
