Thomas Winters made his first recorded live tournament cash at the 40th World Series of Poker (WSOP) in June 2009. He participated in a $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event cashing $3,352. 

In December 2012, he finished 3rd in a $10,000 + $300 No Limit Hold’em Championship Event at the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas. Winters earned his biggest live cash amounting to $483,031.

During the 2014 WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas in December, he cashed $65,368 playing in a $10,000 + $400 No Limit Hold’em Main Event.
