Thomas Winters made his first recorded live tournament cash at the 40th World Series of Poker (WSOP) in June 2009. He participated in a $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event cashing $3,352. 

In December 2012, he finished 3rd in a $10,000 + $300 No Limit Hold’em Championship Event at the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas. Winters earned his biggest live cash amounting to $483,031.

During the 2014 WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas in December, he cashed $65,368 playing in a $10,000 + $400 No Limit Hold’em Main Event.

Thomas appeared at the 46th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in July 2015. He took part in a $10,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event and earned $34,157.

In April 2021, Winters secured 5th place with a cash prize of $81,605. He joined in a $5,000 No Limit Hold’em – Deep Stack event at the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown in Hollywood.

Thomas entered the U.S. Poker Open (USPO) in Las Vegas in June 2021. He competed in a $10,000 No Limit Hold’em event cashing $59,400.

Engaging in a $25,000 No Limit Hold’em event, Winters placed 2nd earning a substantial $216,000. It was held at the PokerGO Cup in Las Vegas in July 2021.

His recent appearance was at the WPT World Championship in Las Vegas in December 2023. He cashed $2,690 in a $970 + $130 No Limit Hold’em Seniors Championship event.
