Theo Tran is a Vietnamese-American professional poker player who currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, with over $3.1 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $387,193 came when he finished in 2nd place at the 38th WSOP in July 2007.

Theo Tran’s first recorded live cash occurred in January 2006 at 2006 L.A. Poker Classic in Los Angeles. He finished in 1st place in Event #6, winning $132,793.

Following this, in July 2007 Theo entered in a $1,000 No Limit Hold’em at the 38th WSOP in Las Vegas. He ended up in 2nd place, securing his best live cash of $387,193 to date.

Later that year, in December, Theo played in a $1,500 + 90 No Limit Hold’em at Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic. He made 2nd place finish, pocketing $128,455.

Then, on May 31, 2008, Theo participated in a $1,500 No Limit Hold’em at the 39th WSOP. He finished in 4th place, taking home $327,148.

Just a few days later, on June 4, 2008, Theo took part in a $2,000 No Limit Hold’em from the same series. He also finished in 4th place, claiming $191,231.

In June 2012, Theo joined in a $1,500 No Limit Hold’em Event #38 at the 43rd WSOP. He ended up in 2nd place, securing a prize of $377,565.

In a recent appearance on December 8, 2024, Theo competed in a $970 + 120 No Limit Hold’em at the WPT World Championship. He ended up in 523rd place, earning $2,920.
