John Pires’ first recorded live cash occurred in April 1997 during the Spring Festival in Paris. He finished in 5th place in a Pot Limit Omaha/Hold’em, cashing $1,298.

In March 2000, Teddy played in an FF30,000 European Holdem Championship during the Euro Finals of Poker in Paris. He finished in 3rd place and earned $57,964.

Later in November of that year, he participated in a £6,000 + 30 No Limit Holdem at the Poker Million in Douglas. Teddy finished in 2nd place and secured his biggest live cash of $142,633.

Luck favored him as he won $45,466 during the Autumn Tournament in Paris in September 2001. Teddy competed in a FF10,000 No Limit Hold’em and finished in 1st place.

During the Rendez Vous a Paris in June 2006, he finished in 3rd place. Teddy took part in a €2,500 No Limit Hold’em and earned a cash prize of $34,271.

Most recently, in July 2024, he competed in a $10,000 No Limit Hold’em – World Championship Bracelet Event #81 at the 55th WSOP in Las Vegas. Teddy placed 588th and took home $32,500.
