Tam Hang is an American professional poker player from Lynnwood, Washington State, with over $1.9 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $230,744 came when he secured his first bracelet at the 45th WSOP in June 2014
Tam Hang, known as “Tommy,” recorded his first live cash in February 2004, he placed 3rd in the $1,500 + 80 Limit Hold’em event at the Poker Classic in Los Angeles, earning $128,250.
Following this early success, he continued to perform well in June 2008, when he finished 3rd in the $10,000 World Championship Limit Hold’em at the 39th World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas, earning $194,674.
Later that month, he secured 2nd place in the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. event at the same series, which netted him an additional $158,933.
In June 2014, Hang achieved a significant milestone by winning 1st place in the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. event (Event #27) at the 45th WSOP in Las Vegas, cashing in for $230,744.
His consistent performance continued in July 2016, when he placed 7th in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship (6-handed) during the 47th WSOP, receiving $150,672.
Furthermore, he returned to the felt in July 2019 at the 50th WSOP, finishing 3rd in the $10,000 Limit Hold’em Championship (Event #72) and taking home $133,718.
In June 2023, Hang competed in the $10,000 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball Championship (Bracelet Event #38) at the 54th WSOP, where he finished in 11th place and earned $25,822.
