Tam Nguyen

Tam Nguyen is an American poker player from Salem, Oregon, with over $1.1 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $79,790 came when he finished 2nd at the 2006 Bellagio Cup II in Las Vegas.

Tam Nguyen’s first live cash was recorded in October 2000 at the Anniversary Tournament Series in Grand Ronde. He participated in $120 Limit Hold’em, placing 3rd and earned $4,110.

In February 2006, Nguyen competed in $2,000 No Limit Hold’em at the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star in San Jose. He placed 4th and took home $35,000.

A couple of months later, he finished 9th in $10,200 WPT Main Event No Limit Hold’em at the Mirage Poker Showdown in Las Vegas, taking home $59,190.

Nguyen achieved his best live cash in August 2006 by competing in $1,080 No Limit Hold’em at the Bellagio Cup II in Las Vegas. He secured 2nd place, bringing home $79,790 in prize money.

In November 2009, Nguyen played in $340 No Limit Hold’em at the Deep Stack Extravaganza IV, in Vegas. He ended up winning the tournament and earned $31,909.

Two years later, in August 2011, he entered $550 No Limit Hold’em at the River Guaranteed $3,000,000 Poker Series in Thackerville. He again took 1st place, netting $36,020.

Nguyen’s most recent appearance was on December 13th, 2024 at the WPT World Championship in Las Vegas. Tam finished 17th in the $600 No Limit Hold’em Turbo for $2,154.
