Steve Zolotow is an American poker player who was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 30, 1945. He earned over $3 million in live tournament winnings and two World Series of Poker bracelets. 

Steve Zolotow: Poker Career

Since 1984, Steve Zolotow, also known as Z, has been a part of the live tournament scene. In 1984, he made his first appearance at the Grand Prix of Poker in Las Vegas. He is currently one of the oldest poker players. He won first place and over $6,000 in total. In May 1995, he participated in the 26th World Series of Poker, winning the grand prize. Additionally, he received more than $100,000.

He won first place and $65,250 at the Hall of Fame Poker Classic in Las Vegas in December 1995. Also, he earned $243,335 for taking first place at the 32nd World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in May 2001. The following year, he earned another first-place finish and $72, 944 at the third Jack Binion World Poker Open in Tunica.

Additionally, in March 2004, Steve took home more than $200,000 in the PartyPoker.com Million III Limit Hold’em Cruise. He has been making progress over time, and at the 41st World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in June 2010, he finished fourth.

Zolotow made a comeback in December 2019 after competing in many tournaments. At the World Poker Tour Five Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas, he finished first and earned $36,000.

He also took first place and $135,00 in the World Poker Tour Five Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas in October 2022. Zolotow has been taking part in numerous tournaments in 2023, including PokerGo events and the WSOP. 

Steve also received bracelets for winning the $3000 Pot Limit Hold’em tournament in 2001 and the Chinese Poker tournament in 1995, respectively. Aside from his victories at the World Series, his biggest cash win to date was a fourth-place finish on the World Poker Tour’s Season 2 PartyPoker.com Million Cruise, where he played alongside eventual winner Erick Lindgren. Also there were other big names Scotty Nguyen, Barry Greenstein, and Daniel Negreanu.
