Steve Weiss recorded his first live cash in July 2004, he placed 2nd in a $2,000 No Limit Hold’em event at the Mirage Poker Showdown in Las Vegas, earning $95,836.

Following this success, in June 2007, Weiss competed in the 38th World Series of Poker (WSOP) in a $2,000 Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo 8 or Better event, finishing 18th and cashing $5,879.

In June 2012, he participated in the WSOP’s $2,500 No Limit Hold’em Four Handed event (Event #28) and finished 40th, earning $7,524.

The following year, in June 2013, Weiss entered the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em Turbo event (Event #34) at the 44th WSOP, where he placed 36th and cashed $6,729.
