Steve Sung is a South Korean-born professional poker player who currently resides in Torrance, California, with over $6 million in live tournament earnings. Building on his achievements, Steve won two bracelets, first at the 40th WSOP and 44th WSOP. His biggest live cash came in June 2013 when he won $1,205,324 along with his second WSOP bracelet.
Steve Sung’s first recorded live cash occurred in June 2005 at the Palms Summer Poker Series in Las Vegas. He finished in 8th place in a $100 + 20 No Limit Hold’em, cashing $185.
In March 2008, Steve entered in a $9,600 + 400 No Limit Hold’em Championship at the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star. He ended up in 2nd place, taking home $585,000.
Later that year, in December, Steve played in a $15,000 + 400 No Limit Hold’em at Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic. He made 4th place finish, pocketing $396,205.
Following this, he made his mark by securing his first bracelet at the 40th WSOP in Las Vegas. He won $771,338 in a $1,000 No Limit Hold’em event.
