Born in St. Albans, Vermont, he began playing poker at the age of 10 with his grandmother. He now works as a private practice physician specializing in sports medicine and enjoys golfing, traveling, and scuba diving. Additionally, he dedicates time to volunteering with children who have orthopedic and sports injuries.

Steve Landfish first recorded live cash occurred in April 2003 at the 34th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. He finished in 15th place in a $2,500 Limit Hold’em, cashing $6,320.

In December 2008, Steve played in a $15,000 + 400 No Limit Hold’em at the Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas. He secured 19th place and earned $57,645.
