Stephen Ma’s first recorded live cash occurred in May 2005 at the Spring Pot of Gold Poker Tournament in Reno. He finished in 1st place in a $100 + 20 No Limit Hold’em, winning $7,918.

In February 2007, Stephen entered in a $500 + 40 No Limit Hold’em Flight 1 at the Wynn Classic in Las Vegas. He ended up in 2nd place, taking home $53,177.

Following this, in May 2009, Stephen played in a $1,000 No Limit Hold’em at the 40th WSOP in Las Vegas. He made 15th place finish, pocketing $56,651.
