Stacy Matuson recorded her first live cash in October 2002, she competed in a $10 No Limit Hold’em event at the Costa Rica Classic in San Jose. She finished in 2nd place and earned $9,900.

Moving to September 2005, Matuson participated in the $5,000 + 200 Championship Event No Limit Hold’em at the 2005 Ultimate Poker Classic in Palm Beach. She placed 6th and earned $100,000.

In February 2006, Matuson played in a $1,455 + 125 Limit Hold’em event at the Poker Classic in Los Angeles. She finished in 9th place and received $22,300.
