Shawn Rice is an American professional poker player and instructor for the World Series of Poker Academy from Lubbock, Texas, with over $1.4 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $213,000 came when he finished in 2nd place at the 35th WSOP in April 2004.

Shawn Rice’s first recorded live cash occurred in April 1994 at the 25th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. He finished in 12th place in a $1,500 Omaha 8 or Better, cashing $4,050.

In April 2004, Shawn played in a $2,000 No Limit Hold’em at the 35th WSOP. He finished in 2nd place and secured his biggest live cash of $213,000 to date.
