Sheikhan also was convicted in 1995, spent nine months in jail and five years of probation. He started his Poker Career in 2001.

Although he finished in 11th place and didn’t take home a bracelet, Shawn made his best live cash of $600,000 in July 2005 during the No Limit Texas Hold’em – World Championship Event 36th World Series of Poker 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He advanced to the National Heads-Up Poker Championship semi finals in March 2006 but lost to eventual champion Ted Forrest. Sheikhan received a payment of $125,000. The next year, he finished third in a No Limit Deuce to Seven event at the 2007 World Series of Poker cashing for $206,676.
