Santi “elpivesabe” Jiang

Santi Jiang, also recognized as elpivesabe, is a Spanish-Chinese professional poker player currently residing in Macau. With roots in China, he has built a commendable record, amassing live earnings exceeding $2.4 million, and achieving his highest cash prize of $756K. Jiang initiated his participation in Triton live events in May 2022.

Santi Jiang: Early Life

In the early stages of his career, Santi Jiang embarked on his journey by engaging in sit & go games alongside those who eventually attained SuperNova Elite status. Progressing further, he transitioned to cash games under the guidance of Andrés Artiñano ‘Bedo.’ His presence in the community gained prominence as he generously shared his insights, offering training sessions in sit and turbo tournaments through various discussion forums. 

As his poker journey unfolded, Santi made a strategic shift from online tournaments to live cash games. He also relocated to Macau, a pivotal move that positioned him within the inner circle of trust among Triton Series managers. Today, Santi Jiang is acknowledged as a distinguished specialist in short deck poker within the Triton Series community.

Santi Jiang: Poker Career

Santi Jiang embarked on his poker journey in June 2019 at the DeepStack Championship Poker Series in Las Vegas, participating in the $1,100 No Limit Hold’em event. Despite finishing in 390th place, he showcased promise by cashing $2,372. Not long after, in the same month, he triumphed in the $1,020 + $80 No Limit Hold’em event at The Wynn Summer Classic, securing his first-place position and a substantial prize of $332,037.

His success continued into March 2020, where Santi demonstrated his proficiency in high-stakes games at the partypoker MILLIONS Sochi Super High Roller Series. In the $25,500 No Limit Short Deck Hold’em, he claimed the top spot, adding $378,000 to his growing winnings.

Santi faced formidable competition at the Merit Poker presents Super High Roller Bowl Europe in Kyrenia, in August 2021. In the $25,000 No Limit Short Deck Hold’em, he attained an impressive 4th place, earning $123,750. Undeterred, he clinched victory in the $50,000 No Limit Short Deck Hold’em, pocketing a substantial $756,000. His tenacity persisted in the $100,000 No Limit Short Deck Hold’em, securing a 4th place finish and a cash prize of $260,000.

May 2022 saw Santi’s participation in the PokerGO Tour in Italy, Venice, where he competed in the €15,000 + €300 No Limit Hold’em event. Santi Jiang finished in second place, claiming $107,331.

Santi’s most recent live tournament engagement took place in September 2022 at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Cyprus in Kyrenia. In the $50,000 No Limit Short Deck Hold’em, he displayed consistent performance, landing in 6th place and securing a cash prize of $161,744.
