Sang Pham’s first recorded live cash occurred in June 2000 at the California State Poker Championship. He finished in 6th place in a $300 + 30 Limit Hold’em, cashing $5,610.

In the following years, Sang placed 2nd in a $1,500 + 70 No Limit Hold’em during the Bellagio Festa Al Lago IV. He earned a prize of $93,950 in October 2005.

Then, in February 2006, he placed 51st at the L.A Poker Classic. Sang secured his biggest live cash of $142,720 in a $294 + 36 No Limit Hold’em event.
