Ryan Hughes is an American professional poker player from Phoenix, Arizona, with over $3.3 million in live tournament earnings. His most notable achievement came in June 2009, when he won at the L.A Poker Classic, earning a remarkable $233,070.
He has also won three bracelets during his poker career, at the 38th, 39th, and Online Bracelet Event #3 World Series of Poker events, respectively.
Ryan Hughes’ first recorded live cash occurred in September 2002 at the Four Queens Poker Classic in Las Vegas. He finished in 2nd place in a $500 Limit Hold’em, cashing $11,150.
In May 2005, Ryan played in a $2,425 + 155 No Limit Hold’em Championship during the Heavenly Hold’em in Los Angeles. He finished in 1st place and won $150,200.
Following this, Ryan joined in a $1,000 + 60 PPT No Limit Hold’em at the L.A Poker Classic in February 2007. He clinched another victory and bagged $111,255.
His winning streak continued during the Bellagio Cup V in Las Vegas in July 2009. Ryan entered in a $5,000 + 80 No Limit Hold’em and won his biggest live cash to date of $233,070.
During the Southern Poker Championship in Biloxi in January 2011, he finished in 6th place. Ryan took part in a $9,700 + 300 No Limit Hold’em – Championship event and cashed $89,375.
Fast forward to June 2018. At 49th WSOP in Las Vegas, he earned a prize of $216,391. In this event, Ryan competed in a $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship Event #49 and finished in 5th place.
