Ryan Feldman grew up in Philadelphia and attended Temple University from 2003-2007 where he graduated with a degree in Broadcasting Communications. After college Ryan spent the next few years establishing his NBA drafting journalism website and began to report on college basketball. He started to become recognized and get media credentials to go to events as well as write articles for local newspapers. He accepted an offer to work as a researcher from ESPN in 2011 and moved to Connecticut. After a couple of years in Connecticut Ryan was transferred to the ESPN LA branch and worked there until 2016 when he would ultimately leave the company and once again pursue his own business venture.
Ryan Feldman left ESPN in 2016 looking for the next move in his career and hoping for it to be in poker. A few months later, after appearing a few times on Live At The Bike, Ryan was offered the opportunity of becoming a producer and co-owner of the show. His relationship with the show however would come to a bitter end in 2020.
One year later, Ryan and Nick Vertucci came together to open up Hustler Casino Live, which has quickly grown to become one of most popular and well produced live stream poker shows, winning the “Favorite Live Stream Award” for 2022 at the Global Poker Index Awards.
Ryan learned to play poker in his fraternity in college and immediately enjoyed it from the start. After college Ryan started playing online as well as at his local casino – Parx Casino. In the beginning, as with all players starting out the poker journey, Ryan was mostly losing and learning. He started to play regularly on his off days while working in Connecticut and when he transferred to LA, being in a poker hotspot, he began playing even more.
Ryan Feldman’s first recorded cash came in November 2012 at a Deep Stacks Poker Tour $1,000 Event in Uncasville. He finished 3rd and cashed $12,164, an impressive debut cash-out. Between Feb 2013 and May 2014, Ryan frequented tournaments on the Eastern Sea Board and racked up a few results, with the best being a 4th place finish in June 2013 in Mashantucket for $25,000, his biggest live cash to date, and a 5th place finish in Atlantic City for $9,254 in September 2013.
Ryan’s move to LA can be seen in his poker results, as from August 2014 all of his tournament results come from California. In Feb 2015, Ryan once again had a 4th place finish at the 2015 L.A. Poker Classic $1,100 NLHE Event, cashing $8,000. In March, still at the L.A. Poker Classic, in a $2,140 NLHE event, Ryan finished 5th and cashed $19,500. In May, he achieved his best tournament result, finishing 3rd in the 2015 California State Poker Championship $240 NLHE and cashing $3,850.
Ryan’s next notable cashes came in June and July of 2016. On June 26th, Ryan finished 32nd and cashed $7,695 in a WSOP $1,000 NLHE event. The next coming shortly after on July 5th, also a WSOP event where he finished 19th in the $5,000 event and cashed $22,770.
Ryan is a production expert who has pursued his dreams and combined them with something he’s passionate about, poker. His claim to fame isn’t playing poker but organizing the exciting poker we all love watching!
