Russell Rosenblum is an American professional poker player and attorney from Las Vegas, Nevada, with over $1.7 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $332,660 came when he finished in 5th place at the WPT Championship in April 2004. He also won the Wynn Classic in Las Vegas in March 2009.
Russell Rosenblum grew up in an environment that nurtured his interest in business and technology. He founded PCI Communications in 1989 and later launched World Web LTD in 1994, becoming a pioneer in the ISP and web development sectors in Washington, DC. After graduating first in his law class from American University Washington College of Law in 2000, he opened a law firm focused on helping startups.
His commitment to community service began early, ultimately leading to the establishment of the Rosenblum Family Foundation, which supports various educational and cultural initiatives in the Las Vegas area. Currently, he holds the position of Chairman of the Board at Lexicon Bank in Nevada, which specifically targets poker players as its clients and customers.
Russell Rosenblum’s first recorded live cash occurred in April 2002 at the New England Poker Classic in Mashantucket. He finished in 6th place in a $1,500 + 100 No Limit Hold’em – Championship Event, cashing $8,540.
Later in May of that year, he participated in a $10,000 Championship Event at the 33rd WSOP in Las Vegas. Russell finished in 6th place and cashed $150,000.
At the WPT Championship in Las Vegas in April 20043, he secured his biggest live cash of $332,660. Russell participated in a $25,000 No Limit Hold’em Championship Final Day and finished in 5th place.
He competed in a $4,800 + 200 No Limit Hold’em at the World Poker Finals in Mashantucket in November 2006. Russell reached the final table by placing 3rd and earned $104,260.
In December 2008, Russell entered in a $5,000 + 180 No Limit Hold’em at Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic. He finished in 4th place and took home $82,070.
Moreover, Russell clinched victory at the Wynn Classic in Las Vegas in March 2009. He joined $3,000 + 100 No Limit Hold’em and won $91,664.
Most recently, in July 2024, he competed in a $10,000 No Limit Hold’em – World Championship Bracelet Event #81 at the 55th WSOP. Russell placed 46th and earned a cash prize of $200,000.
