Roman Hrabec is a 26 year old Vienna professional Ice Hockey player. In the youth categories of Sparta Prague, he was one of the amazing players. However he failed to make it to the A-team due to a medical condition. He spent a decade playing for different clubs at different levels. He later on discovered his interest in playing poker as well.
Roman had established an interest in playing poker while he was playing hockey. This interest of his was from his brother, who played online. His curiosity and desire to excel in poker strategies led him to study on the Internet. With the help of videos and streams on YouTube or Twitch, he improved his skills. He played his first live event in 2018 while on vacation in Barcelona.
Passionate about the poker tournament atmosphere led to full-time poker addiction. He gained his poker practice mainly in the matchmaking events of the King’s casino. This is due to Swiss legislation which is not in favor of live tournaments.
Roman Hrabec’s Best Live Cash: $653,600 and ranked in the AllTime Money List in 775th place. He now has Total Live earnings of $2,701,132.
When he started his poker career, it was mainly linked to online poker. Then he moved to the Austrian capital at the beginning of 2021 then he had legal access to the GGPoker casino. He won over nine million dollars as of now. He liked to play online tournaments at multiple venues. His biggest success online is a second place finish at GGOC Main Event and won $571,112 in May 2022.
His Top 5 poker wins in online tournaments were as follows: $1,500 GGOC Main Event, 48M GTD and won second place. Followed by a first place and prize of $341,478 at Super MILLION$ High Roller $10,300. Third is at the $10,000 Super million$ HighRoller NLH where he placed ninth and won $123,815. He placed first at the $1,050 Monday Monster Stack HR and took home $108,348 as a winning prize.
Roman Hrabec is also seen on the international live poker scene. His first tournament cashout was €6,500 and placed 63rd during the Party Poker Live Millions series in April 2018. After two years, he took 4th place in the Rozvadov €550 NLH German Championship of Poker Kick off event.
In October 2022, he managed to obtain six-figure prizes and started his successful streak at the London EPT. He took home ₤227,800 and secured fourth place in the ₤5,300 NLH EPT Main Event. As well as ₤155,789 from the ₤2,200 NLH UKIPT London High Roller.
He was on fire as he secured second place versus Seth Davies at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series. He then pocketed $324,000 from the same event on his way back to Europe for the 9th place in the $100,00 NLH Main Event.
